Madden 10 Battles Enable You Crunch Your Rival’s Bones, Bruise His Ego, and Empty His Bank Account

With a high-intensity soundtrack, PS3 Madden 10 players will get even more for their gaming dollar. Soundtracks have become synonymous with the games themselves, especially the Madden series. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. Looks like you need a visit back in time, to the embryonic days of sports video games, if you have your doubts about PS3 Madden 10. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. Once you've given the older football video games the once-over, you can grasp why people are drooling over PS3 Madden 10. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. Only thing was, video game consoles and cartridges didn't have the capabilities to match the needs of the typical hardcore gamer, so everyone had to take what they could get. In any ads or promos, the manufacturers of this one insisted "all the excitement" of the genuine article. With an open path to the end zone, this is what the number one console in the day scored a touchdown with. The football players look like blocky little robots. There's no getting around that one You can tell by the image that the game wasn't much, but that's only the half of it. This one, like all early games, suffered from the "blinking graphics" syndrome, due to low programming capacity. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. And worse, the screen didn't even scroll. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. It was yards better than that first one - people looked a bit more like people, the players no longer flickered, and gamers got their scrolling screen. But it was still nothing too impressive.

Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. It would take a few more years for that to happen. This next one reaped the benefits of the 8-bit gaming revolution, and people still rave about it to this day. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held.

Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Graphics and sound were vastly improved, so for many years, this was the video football game. Judging by its online revival, people still enjoy it today in small doses. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games.

We've come a long way, and you, along with football video games, have been the largest beneficiary. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. We've made our point. Those games, while archaic, got us to where we are today, and for that, they deserve their place in the video game hall of fame (though that first one may be better off in "video game hall of shame.") Of course, PS3 Madden 10 has really taken the ball and ran with it, which is cause for serious celebration in the video game world. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Anytime you read a PS3 Madden 10 review, you'll see things like "realistic and enjoyable." No shocker - EA Sports has scored another touchdown with PS3 Madden 10.

No doubt, PS3 Madden 10 is the real sport of champions, and don't let some douchebag tell you otherwise. Not to disparage the other PlayStation sports video games - they're all pretty excellent in their own right, but PS3 Madden rules the playing field. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks. Now, PlayStation Madden 10 fans can go toe-to-toe and play video games for money. You'll be making touchdowns, and nabbing your foe's money, after you've educated yourself in all things Madden 10.
